Senior Men's Provincial League
Rugby Ontario operates two senior men's leagues, the Marshall Premiership and the Marshall Championship.
The Marshall Premiership is the province's top division of men's club rugby, while the Marshall Championship represents the province's second flight. The Marshall Premiership is made up of the top eight clubs in Ontario (outside of the EORU), while the Marshall Championship division serves as Ontario's second division. Each club in the two Marshall divisions will field both a 1st and 2nd XV for the duration of the season.
At the end of the season, the 8th-place team in the Marshall Premiership will be relegated to the Marshall Championship, while the winner of the Marshall Championship will earn promotion to the Marshall Premiership.
The 8th-place team of the Marshall Championship will participate in the Men’s Intermediate Cup against the top teams from Niagara Rugby Union and Toronto Rugby branch leagues for a chance to retain their position in the Marshall Championship.
McCormick Cup - The McCormick Cup is a long-standing tradition in Ontario rugby; a term synonymous with Rugby Ontario. The Cup is the title championship for Rugby Ontario's Marshall Premiership & Championship Senior Men’s First Teams, along with the annual EORU Champion. Brantford Harlequins RFC won the McCormick Cup in 2016.
Gee Gage Cup - The Gee Gage Cup is an annual optional post-league tournament for Rugby Ontario Marshall Premiership and Championship Senior Men's 2nd teams. Bay Street Pigs RFC won the Gee Gage Cup in 2016.
Intermediate Cup - The Intermediate Cup is the annual championship that is used for promotion into the Marshall Championship division. Barrie RFC won the 2016 Intermediate Cup and will participate in the Marshall Championship division in 2017.
