Refereeing provides individuals, both male and female, unique opportunities to be part of the action by being involved in the game.  The referee is always rewarded by being provided with the best seat at the ground to witness the action.

Referee Focus Group - The goal of the Rugby Ontario Referee Focus group is to get ambitious young people involved in refereeing and put them on an accelerated learning curve.  2011 will be the second year of the program.                            

Ontario Rugby Referee’s Society – The ORRS provides the highest possible quality match officials for rugby in Ontario by developing referees through the branch societies.

Game Management Guidelines 2012


Rugby Ontario has released the 2012 Game Management Guidelines, the purpose of these guidelines is to ensure that all participants of Ontario rugby aware of the areas of the game that require more specific coaching and/or consistency in refereeing.


The Management Guidelines will provide the backbone of referee and coaching consistencies in 2012 and strive to ensure that referees, players and coaches are on the same page for the betterment of the game in Ontario.
