Ontario Summer Games
The Ontario Summer Games began in 1970 as a showcase for amateur sport. They have now become Ontario's largest multi-sport event, including both team and individual sports. Ontario level athletes qualify through a selection process conducted by provincial sport organizations.
The Ontario Games are a program of the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion and Sport and are delivered by the Sport Alliance of Ontario in collaboration with host communities. The 2012 Ontario Summer Games are a partnership of the City of Toronto, The Toronto Sports Council, and Tourism Toronto.

Ontario Summer Games - 7's
In August 2012 the Ontario Summer games will be held in Toronto. Rugby Ontario has a proud tradition at competing at the games in 15's and 10's. Due to the 2009 Olympic inclusion into the 2016 Olympic Games we have changed the format of OSG to 7's to better align the sport and the Olympic 7's Pathway.
Over two days of competition 192 players (96 male and 96 female) at Under 17 will come together to experience what Rugby Ontario hopes will be as close to an internationally ran event as the players, coaches, and officials will be exposed to. Two teams from each region, both in male and female competition will play through a round robin pool schedule before the top teams compete for medals.
OSG's will provide players a natural succession to Canada Summer Games and beyond.
