Rugby Ontario Announces 2016 Provincial Awards Winners

(TORONTO, ON) – Rugby Ontario is pleased to announce the 2016 Rugby Ontario Provincial Award winners.

Senior Provincial Player of the Year (Female) – Jacey Grusnick (Barrhaven Scottish RFC)

Senior Provincial Player of the Year (Male) – Rob Brouwer (Lindsay RC)

Junior Provincial Player of the Year (Female) – Julia Schell (Oshawa Vikings RFC)

Junior Provincial Player of the Year (Male) – Will Kelly (Brantford Harlequins RFC)

Senior Club Player of the Year (Male) – Rory Mcdonell (Brantford Harlequins RFC)

Club Coach of the Year (Female) – Linda Manzo (Toronto Scottish RFC)

Club Coach of the Year (Male) – John Daggett (Barrie RFC)

Junior Club Program of the Year (Female) – Oshawa Vikings RFC

Junior Club Program of the Year (Male) – Crusaders RC

Minor Club Program of the Year – Toronto City Youth RFC

Volunteer of the Year – Jim Shaw (Bytown Blues RFC)

Match Official of the Year – Rose Labreche 

The 2016 Rugby Ontario Provincial Recognition Award winners will be honoured at the Rugby Ontario Awards Ceremony and Dinner in Mississauga, Ont., on the evening of Saturday, December 10, 2016. The ceremony will be held at the Maple Banquet Hall, and will be held in conjunction with the Rugby Ontario Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Tickets to the Rugby Ontario Hall of Fame & Awards Dinner are $95 each, or $850 for a ten-seat table. The deadline to purchase tickets to the event is December 1, 2016.

6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. - Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

7:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. - Hall of Fame & Awards Dinner
