Forty U18 women’s players will attend a Canada Top 40 camp in March ahead of a two-game series with the USA later this year.

The camp will take place in Burnaby March 12-18 with the series against the USA taking place in the summer. Dates and locations have not yet been confirmed.

"We're really excited to get back to work with this group of athletes,” head coach Dan Valley said. “This is another opportunity to put them into a National camp setting and all of the challenges and learning that comes with that.

"The athletes have been hard at work in their home provinces and now have an opportunity to come together to test themselves against their peers from across the country."

Canada’s U18 women faced England Talent Development Group in April last year in a two-game series. After falling 41-17 in Game 1, Canada was narrowly beaten 17-12 in the second game.

In September of last year, Valley named a 68-player long list for the 2016-17 season.
