Day 2 Recap: Junior Blues at U18 7s National Championship
(BURNABY, BC) – Quarter and Semi Finals were on the menu at Burnaby Lake Rugby Club today as Day 2 of the U18 7s National Championship was underway.
All four Ontario teams made it to the quarter finals and all of them came away with wins in their respective matches. The semi finals came with some tough competition.
Ontario U18 Women's Blue squad would meet the host-side British Columbia in their semi-finals. In a very close contest, the Blues came out victorious by a score of 17-14.
Ontario U18 Women's White squad played against Alberta. The strong Wolf Pack team proved to be too much for the young Blues team, as they won 29-0. The Blues placed fourth in the tournament after losing to British Columbia in the third place match.
Ontario U18 Men's Blue squad battled Alberta in their semi-final - a team which they previously tied in their round robin play. The Blues came out firing in the contest, putting up five tries against the Wolf Pack side. The final score was 27-5 for Ontario Blue.
