Twin Elm Finish Runner-Up In Kraft Heinz Project Play

(OTTAWA, ON) - Twin Elm Rugby Park will receive $25,000 dollars towards facility upgrades for their runner-up finish in the Kraft Project Play contest! The multi-field rugby facility was one of four finalists in the running to win $250,000 dollars towards upgrades. Saugeen Shores, Ontario was awarded the grand prize. 

“I would like to congratulate Twin Elm Rugby Park on being awarded $25,000 as a runner up in the Kraft Heinz Project Play” said Myles Spencer, CEO of Rugby Ontario. “Special thanks to all those in the Nepean and Ottawa areas that were behind this incredible effort, as well to the entire rugby community across Canada for supporting this project.“

Rugby Ontario would like to thank the rugby community from all across Canada for their support. This process brought people from all across the country together to not only support Twin Elm, but to support the sport of rugby. Thank you to Rugby Canada, the Toronto Arrows, and all the staff at Twin Elm for their hard work during the entire process.

ABOUT THE ONTARIO BLUES

The Ontario Blues program is the high performance representative program for male and female rugby players in Ontario. Rugby Ontario is represented at the provincial level by the Ontario Blues. The program includes representative teams from Under-15 to Senior in both Women’s and Men’s Fifteens and Under-18 Men's and Women's Sevens. Specifically, the program is designed to develop and showcase rugby players for Canadian representative national teams.
