Rugby Ontario COVID-19 Community Support Program - Application Form
Rugby Ontario, through the support of the Ontario Government, is pleased to announce a funding program that will benefit its community sport clubs (“Member Organizations”).
The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in unprecedented financial and operational challenges for community rugby clubs right across Ontario. Recognizing the massive burden placed on our clubs while enduring such uncertainty and heightened public health restrictions on sport, Rugby Ontario is implementing the "Rugby Ontario COVID-19 Community Support Program".
This program will provide direct financial support to Member Organizations across the province in sustaining their organizations and prepare for when rugby is able to return safely.
Member Organizations supported through this one-time funding will need to demonstrate expenses incurred related to the COVID-19 pandemic. This could include increases in programming expenses such as participants withdrawing from existing programs (membership refunds), increased expenses due to PPE and/or lower ratios of participants per facility, facility operating / overhead expenses, and the development of materials / resources for implementing Return to Play protocols. Member Organizations that have chosen to run operating deficits in an effort to maintain programming fees for participants will also be eligible for this funding.
In order to be eligible to receive funding under this program, Member Organizations of Rugby Ontario (Clubs and Branches) must complete this application form and attestation no later than 12:00 PM on May 25, 2021.
