Return To Play Update: Reopening Step 1 Approved For June 11th

On Monday, June 7th, the Provincial Government published the updated Roadmap to Reopen Step 1 Regulations . As of this Friday, June 11, 2021 at 12:01 AM all sanctioned rugby clubs are permitted to begin activity in a new Modified Phase 2 of the Return to Play Plan. The guidelines for the approved activities are as follows:

Gathering Limit

10 people maximum. Fields can be divided into quadrants (no more than 10 people). These groups must be standalone groups and cannot rely on shared coaches, administrators or equipment.  Please consult your local permitting office to ensure that they are allowing multiple groups on a field at once. Please defer to your local municipality and permit office on this.

3M (9ft) physical distance at all times

Any activity that may result in participants coming within 3M of each other is not permitted.

Shared ball ONLY

See 3M (9ft) distance requirement. If a shared ball activity cannot be done with participants maintaining 3M distance then it is not permitted under Modified Phase 2.

Spectators

As per regulations, no spectators are permitted at venues. However, a person under the age of 18 years who is engaged in activities in the facility may be accompanied by one parent or guardian.

Attendance / Attestations

Any activity that is being conducted will need to be included in SportLomo with only registered participants. All participants, including coaching staff must complete the attestation before the session.
