Rowan's Law Day 2021

September 29th, 2021

(WHITBY, ON) - This Wednesday, September 29th, is Rowan’s Law Day. The day is in honour of Rowan Stringer who tragically died in 2013 of Second Impact Syndrome. As a result, the Government of Ontario passed the Rowan’s Law legislation in 2018. The legislation is designed to create a safer environment for competitive amateur athletes, children and youth to play sport.

Rugby Ontario is committed to being a leader in the support and implementation of Rowan’s Law and Rowan’s Law Day. To show your support, we ask you to please encourage your club to wear purple this week and showcase your support on social media in honour of Rowan's Law Day.  Rugby Ontario will be sharing Rowan’s Law content on our social media channels and hope you will re-share these materials on your channels when you can.
