(Langford, BC) - Rugby Ontario will host the Men’s Under-19 Canadian Rugby Championship, July 31-August 6, 2022 at the University of Guelph. The U-19 tournament returns to competition following a two-year hiatus in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s exciting to welcome back the Men’s Under-19 Canadian Rugby Championship after a two-year break,” said Rugby Canada Managing Director Dustin Hopkins. “We are looking forward to a memorable return to competition and thank Rugby Ontario as well as the University of Guelph for their commitment to this year’s event.”

2019 Champions Atlantic Rock join BC, Ontario, Prairie Blizzard, Alberta and Quebec as the participating teams for this year’s edition of the Championship. This year’s tournament schedule will be available once confirmed.

“Rugby Ontario is excited to host the 2022 U-19 Men's Canadian Rugby Championship at Guelph University,” said Paul Connelly, Rugby Ontario Provincial & High Performance Programs Technical Manager. “After a two-year hiatus, the top players from across the country will be competing not only for a National Championship, but also for potential selection to the Canada U20 program.
