Rugby Ontario Awards Program Update

(WHITBY, ON) - Rugby Ontario is pleased to announce the criteria and application process for the Rugby Ontario Awards Program. After two years of postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 Awards Program has returned. Winners will be recognized and celebrated at the Rugby Ontario Hall of Fame & Awards Dinner this Fall (November, date & location TBC). Below is a breakdown of the awards up for nomination and instructions on ways to access the nomination forms and award criteria.
What are nomination categories?
• Senior Provincial Player of the Year (Female)
• Senior Provincial Player of the Year (Male)
• Junior Provincial Player of the Year (Female)
• Junior Provincial Player of the Year (Male)
• Senior Club Player of the Year (Male)
• Senior Club Player of the Year (Female)
• Club Coach of the Year (Female)
• Club Coach of the Year (Male)
• Junior Club Program of the Year (Female)
• Junior Club Program of the Year (Male)
• Minor Club Program of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
• Match Official of the Year
Where do I submit a nomination?
Please complete and submit the appropriate Rugby Ontario Awards nominations form and send to awards@rugbyontario.com. Please note there are various nomination forms, which can be found here.
When is the deadline for nominations?
Nominations are due by September 13th, 2022. Submissions received after this date will not be considered.
Evaluation Criteria
The eligibility and selection criteria breakdown for each award can be found on the Rugby Ontario Awards Program webpage, which can be accessed by clicking here. Each award will be assessed by a selection panel as identified in the criteria documents.
