Ontario Blues Summer Program Overview 2023

(WHITBY, ON) - Rugby Ontario is pleased to announce important information and key dates for the 2023 Ontario Blues Provincial Programs.


U18 (2005) Blues Tryout Information and Overview

The U18 Boys Provincial Program (birth year 2005) will begin their provincial open talent ID sessions on May 21st at Balmy Beach Rugby Club in Toronto, ON and on May 28th at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario.  On June 18th the HP Provincial Coaching staff will be attending the scheduled Club Showcase Day, which will involve a number of junior club teams from across the province (details TBC).  On June 25th there will be an invite only selection camp where the final selections will be made. The U18 Provincial Team will have two additional training sessions on July 3rd and July 16th. The top 26 athletes from each region will be competing at Western Canadian Championships in Calgary, Alberta from August 2nd - 6th.


Online registration for the open talent ID session is open on May 11th and will close on May 18th at 2pm. Rugby Ontario will not be accepting registrations on the day – all athletes must be pre-registered. Please pack snacks, lunches and bring plenty of water.
