COVID-19 Return to Play Amendments
PHASES 1, 2 & 3
Participant Membership & Registration Update
Rugby Ontario has reviewed the impact to the 2020 and 2021 rugby seasons and the restrictions on rugby activities that Registered Participants shall be permitted to participate in due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of Return to Play restrictions, Rugby Ontario has amended the Membership Dues payable by Participants for the 2021 season. In addition to Rugby Ontario’s amended Registered Participant Dues, Rugby Canada has also approved changes to its Membership Dues structure. The amended Membership Dues are for the current season and are valid to December 31st, 2021, with insurance coverage available until April 30th, 2022 if purchased within the limitation period.
The table below is a summary of the COVID-19 Return to Play Amended Categories & Registered Participant Dues for Phases 1, 2 & 3 only.
As part of the Return to Play process, Member Clubs must apply to Rugby Ontario and complete the Club Sanctioning Process. The ability for participants to register will be restricted until Rugby Ontario has approved each Club’s sanctioning application. For clarity, only the membership categories and dues shown below will be able to be set-up for registration until the government approves the return to contact rugby (Phase 4 & 5). All participants must be registered in order to take part in sanctioned rugby activities.
