On Friday, November 28th, 2025, Rugby Ontario was joined by Kevin Rouet – Canada’s Senior Women’s National Head Coach – to learn more about the 2026 Quebec-Ontario Rugby Championship (QORC).

QORC is an incredible opportunity for women in Ontario and Quebec, and with Rugby Canada’s involvement in the competition this year, it is an opportunity for the National team leads to see the talent from across both provinces in high-performance games. This competition creates more opportunities for senior women to gain more experience playing high-calibre rugby.

As Kevin explained in the meeting, this competition isn’t just for young athletes. Rugby Canada will be using this competition to scout for talent to play on the National team, and more seasoned players in their mid-twenties shouldn’t count themselves out…because this competition is just the beginning.

“Our hope is that the competition will continue to grow, and get better each year”.

QORC will run from December 2025 – May 2026, with the final schedule being finalized this year. Athletes interested in playing in the QORC are encouraged to register for our upcoming try outs.
