We’re halfway through the 2026 Canadian Rugby Championship, which means it’s time to get a recap. Today, we’re sharing the standings and results from the last few days, and some quotes from all the coaches.
Coaches’ Corner
Obviously, the scoreline is disappointing, but I don’t think it truly reflected the way the Wolfpack boys played today. We took a big step forward from our first game. Our physicality was much better, our intensity was where we wanted it to be, and our communication improved significantly.
This is a young group, and we’re continuing to grow with every match. We haven’t had a lot of time together in preparation, so we’re still building combinations and learning about each other. Every game is another opportunity for us to develop, and I thought we saw real progress today.
We had over 70% of the possession, which shows we were able to control large parts of the game. Unfortunately, BC punished us for the mistakes we made, and at this level those moments can be the difference. That’s a credit to them—they were clinical when their opportunities came.
As coaches, we’re encouraged by the direction this group is heading. There are plenty of positives to take from today’s performance, and if we continue to improve the way we have over the last week, I’m confident the results will come. We’ll review the game, learn from our errors, and make sure we’re better again in the next match.

Our goal (for this last match) was to come and showcase who we are. It’s never an easy game against the Wolfpack, but I thought our group handled their physicality well, and we were able to play out style well when we had the ball.
