It was a busy weekend for Rugby Ontario as we wrapped the OWL Championship and Premiership season, and the U18 Girls’ Regional and Provincial Cups!
A HUGE thank you to the host club for these events: the Brantford Harlequins. The Harlequins and their numerous volunteers ensured the day ran smoothly, with food and drink available for everyone. We couldn’t have done it without your support!
U18 Girls’ Regional Cup Finals
Gold Medal – Iroquois Roots Rugby
Silver Medal – Owen Sound Rugby Club
Bronze Medal – Markham Irish/Caledon Cavaliers
U18 Girls’ Provincial Cup Finals
Gold Medal – Barrhaven Scottish
Silver Medal – Oshawa Vikings
Bronze Medal – Barrie RFC
OWL Championship Cup
The OWL Championship Finals were between two teams from the East end of the province, the Ottawa Irish vs Kingston Panthers.
The first half of the match was close, but the Panthers surged forward for the win in the second half.
Final Score
Ottawa Irish 29 – 43 Kingston Panthers.

OWL Premiership 2XV Cup
The Brantford Harlequins saw their 2XV women’s team on the home pitch in this OWL Premiership 2XV Final against the Guelph Goats.

Guelph Goats 26 – 13 Brantford Harlequins
Congratulations to the Guelph Goats on winning the OWL Premiership 2XV Cup!
OWL Premiership Cup
The Guelph Goats also competed in the OWL Premiership 1XV Finals against the Aurora Barbarians. This match was close and had us on the edge of our seats. The Guelph Goats won the Cup with a 7-point lead.
