Minor Rugby Working Group Expression of Interest

Rugby Ontario is seeking individuals interested in joining the Minor Rugby Working Group.

This group plays an important advisory role, supportingRugby Ontario’s operations staff in the growth and development of Minor Rugby (U4–U10) across the province. It aligns directly with our strategic pillars to Support the Club Community and Build Belonging.

As a member of the Minor Rugby Working Group, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Contribute to planning and recommendations for the Minor Rugby season
  • Represent diverse voices and lived experiences in the rugby community
  • Provide feedback on the grassroots experience for youth athletes
  • Help shape policies that impact the long-term growth of the game

We are looking for individuals who can think provincially, work collaboratively, and bring thoughtful perspectives on grassroots sport development. Representation across branches, demographics, and rugby roles is key to the success of this group.

Rugby Ontario Announces O’Neills as Official Sportswear & Merchandise Supplier

Toronto, ON – March 31 – Rugby Ontario is proud to announce a new multi-year partnership with O’Neills Irish Sports Company Limited. This agreement designates O’Neills as the Official On-and-Off-Field Sportswear and Merchandise Supplier of Canada’s largest provincial rugby union. This strategic partnership marks a significant step forward in Rugby Ontario’s commitment to providing high-quality kit for its athletes, referees, coaches, staff and community.

Announcement of the 2025 annual general meeting

2025 Rugby Ontario Annual General Meeting

Hello Member Club & Branch Representatives,

Please save the date for the 2025 Rugby Ontario Annual General Meeting, which will be taking place on Sunday, April 27th at 11:00 AM.

The AGM will be held in a hybrid format – offered in-person and virtually.  The in-person location will be at the new Rugby Ontario office facility located at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (875 Morningside Avenue, Toronto, ON M1C 0C7).  Following the formalities of the AGM, a business session will take place, so we are asking attendees to be present from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

A formal Notice of Members’ Meeting package will be sent in the coming weeks providing the agenda and other relevant meeting materials.

Each Member Club/Branch is asked to have an attending delegate complete the AGM Registration form here to help us with our planning and to confirm our anticipated attendance.  We kindly ask you to do so by March 30th.

As we approach our Annual General Meeting, the time has come for nominations to be tendered for Rugby Ontario’s Board of Directors.  There will be some significant turn over on the Board this year and we’re seeking qualified individuals to volunteer to serve on the board.  Candidates will preferably have rugby administration experience.  We are looking for volunteers with various professional experience, including, but not limited to; finance / accounting, legal, human resources and governance.  I would be happy to chat with anyone interested in submitting their candidacy for the Board.  Please feel free to email me (chair@rugbyontario.ca) with any questions you might have about serving on the Board, or to arrange a time for call.
