(WHITBY, ON) - It is with mixed emotions, Rugby Ontario is announcing today that Sean Medeiros will be leaving the organization to pursue another job opportunity. Sean will step down from his role as the High-Performance Manager, effective June 8th, 2022.

Sean began working with Rugby Ontario as an intern in 2016. From there, he was hired on to serve as the High Performance Program Coordinator, which he did for five years. In 2022, Sean was promoted to High Performance Program Manager. Although Sean is moving on from the organization, he is still heavily involved in the rugby community. He is still a player and active member of the Mississauga Blues and is a coach with the University of Brock Men's Rugby Team.

 "Although much has changed during my tenure with Rugby Ontario, one thing that has always remained the same is the amazing and passionate community that lies at the heart of our sport" said Sean. "I would like to thank all the incredible colleagues, coaches, managers, and volunteers that I have been fortunate enough to work with for the past seven seasons. Your dedication to growing the game and athlete development has been inspiring and pushed me to do my best each day.  I am very proud of the strides we have made to further enhance player development programs and pathways, and I look forward to following and supporting our incredible players as they chase their dreams! Thank you to everyone who has made my time with Rugby Ontario so special, and I look forward to seeing you pitch side!" 

Rugby Ontario would like to thank Sean for all he has done for rugby in Ontario, we wish him all the best in his next chapter!
