Rugby Ontario's Hall Of Fame - Call For Nominations!
On November 25th, Rugby Ontario will be hosting the annual Hall of Fame & Awards Ceremony and we need your help!
The Rugby Ontario Hall of Fame & Awards Committee is currently seeking nominations for the Class of 2023. Nominees are any individuals and teams who have exerted a distinctive, positive influence of unique dimension on the sport of rugby in Ontario over a prolonged period.
If you believe you know of a deserving candidate who displays these qualities, we encourage you to submit a nomination by filling out this NOMINATION FORM with the necessary information. In addition to completing this Nomination Form, nominators may supplement their nomination with letters of endorsement and documentary evidence (e.g. articles, links to materials, newspaper clippings). The deadline to submit a Hall of Fame nomination is August 17th at 5:00pm ET (submissions received after this date will not be considered).
Who can nominate?
Nominations may originate from Rugby Ontario Branch, Club, registrant or Rugby Ontario’s Board of Directors that are in good standing with Rugby Ontario.
What are the classes for nomination?
There are 5 classes of Hall of Fame Inductees:
- Players
- Teams
- Coaches
- Officials
- Builders
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for nomination, Players, Coaches and Officials must be retired from active participation at their highest level for at least two (2) years. Teams must have accomplished outstanding or extraordinary results over a minimum period of 5 years and maximum period of 10 years and be at least five (5) years removed from their significant milestone(s).
Where do I submit a nomination?
Please complete and submit the Rugby Ontario Hall of Fame Nomination Form. Please note there are two types of categories to choose from: one is for Builders and another for Players / Coaches / Match Officials / Teams.
