Eastern Ontario Rugby Community Hosting Third Annual Rugby On The Hill

RUGBY ON PARLIAMENT HILL - SATURDAY OCTOBER 22 2016 - 9:00AM ET

Ottawa Touch Rugby and the Eastern Ontario Rugby Union will once again host "RUGBY ON THE HILL". The event takes place to honour Corporal Nathan Cirillo, who tragically died on October 22, 2014 while guarding the War Memorial, and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run incident just days earlier. All are welcome to Parliament Hill October 22 to pay their respects, and to thank Parliament Hill Security Services, Ottawa Police Services, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Ottawa Paramedic Services, and the Canadian Armed Forces.

Ottawa Touch Rugby and the Eastern Ontario Rugby Union are asking for donations from all participants, which will be given to the Military Families Fund and/or 'Soldier On' on behalf of the greater rugby community.

Parking is free of charge at the World Exchange Plaza. Please leave your kit bag in your car, bring your cleats and a water bottle. Wear your club's jersey or another favourite jersey, come out to have some fun!

Start time is 9:00am ET - The group will meet in front of the Centennial Flame RAIN OR SHINE, so dress for the weather!

The event is open to all ages and organizers ask that you invite your family, friends, team-mates.

Last year's event raised over $700 in under two hours.
